LINA SILVA

MULTI-PLATFORM PRODUCER / CREATOR - AU

Managing Director of Kreiworks, Lina is a multi-platform producer/creator with extensive experience in international marketing and business management. Lina is Executive Producer of the children’s transmedia strategy Ana the Pirate (Discovery Kids LATAM –Prix Jeunesse International 2016 Finalist and Gender Equality Prize nominee), and represents other TV series globally, including 2D animation Pipo, My Imaginary Friend (Netflix LATAM) and live-action show TicLab. Lina is currently developing a slate of live-action and animation programs for children with highly recognised international partners and undertaking a Producer attachment with Matchbox Pictures.

Lina studied writing for children at the Escuela de Escritores of Madrid, screenwriting at AFTRS and with various recognised industry professionals, and playwriting with dramaturg Peter Matheson. Author of children’s stories The Lion who Meowed, and David is a Frog, published in Spain, and lyrics writer for Pipo, My Imaginary Friend (S1 – English version).

Lina produces cultural diplomacy initiatives between Australia and Ibero-America and has worked in the same field in Europe with UNESCO’s International Council of Film and Television, UN-Affiliated Digital Communication Observatory, and the Italian Design Agency. She is currently member of the ACT Divisional Advisory Board of the Australian Red Cross.

Lina studies include Bachelors Degrees in Social Science (Media) and in Public Relations, a Master in Diplomacy and International Affairs, and a Diploma in Project Management.
