HEAD OF COMEDY, ABC TV

ABC Head of Comedy since late 2013, Rick is a multi award winning comedy writer and producer, who has frequently been named among The Sydney Morning Herald’s ‘Most Influential People in Television’.  At ABC, he has overseen some 25 series and over 75 hours of internationally acclaimed, AACTA- and Logie award-winning scripted comedy for TV and iview including The Katering Show Season 2, the currently airing Rosehaven, Upper Middle Bogan and Please Like Me, Working Dog’s Utopia, Soul Mates, and this year’s inaugural ABC Comedy Showroom pilot season.  He is also co-convenor of the recently created ABC Radio Comedy Unit.  His own credits include co-creator/co-writer/producer of the controversial hit ABC sitcom At Home with Julia and head writer of Nine’s long running hit sketch comedy series Comedy Inc: The Late Shift.
