NETWORK TEN - AU
Azar Marashian began her media career in 1987 on reception at ONE-FM. There she honed her skills in the newsroom, at OB’s and in the production suite. Within two years she was running production and was responsible for everything and anything pre-recorded, including the commercials, ID’s and promos. As well, she was part of the music programming team who selected the new titles to be added to the rotation each week.
In 1995 she joined Network Ten in sales marketing as part of the team that looked after what is now known as sales integration. After the sales marketing and program marketing departments merged, Azar moved into the programming department as the executive assistant to TEN’s head of programming, David Mott. Under David’s mentorship, Azar refined her programming skills and was promoted to Program Schedule Manager, a roll she sustained for seven years before the role of Acquisition and Development Manager was created for her.
