Prior to joining Screen Queensland, Amal Baggar was based in Los Angeles where she worked for Ridley Scott’s company, Scott Free Productions, in West Hollywood for eight years and held different roles including Vice President and Creative Executive, Film Development and Production. Co-producing Concussion starring Will Smith for Sony Pictures, Amal’s extensive experience includes collaborating with writers and directors in researching and developing projects and ideas, scouting new talent, script development, and working with independent financiers, film studios and television networks. Prior to that, she worked for Creative Artists Agency in Beverly Hills holding the position of Executive Assistant to Motion Picture Literary Agents, Tory Metzger and Maha Dakhil.
