“Chrissie” Carras is an experienced television executive who has spent the last seven years at BBC Worldwide with roles across channel management, programming, digital, brands & marketing. She currently heads up the programming and presentation teams for subscription channels UKTV and BBC Knowledge in New Zealand, and has delivered record ratings for the channels across the region contributing to the successful renewal of the SKY carriage agreement. Prior to her leadership role across the New Zealand portfolio of channels, she managed the content curation and operations for BBC’s Australian factual STV channel – BBC Knowledge. With a particular passion for scripted television and emerging digital platforms her role places her at the exciting intersection of those two aspects of the industry.
