JASON works across multi-platform content creation and has produced internationally acclaimed and award winning work in the advertising, feature film, online media, documentary and branded entertainment space. His roots in advertising however, have paved the way for what’s now considered his niche in the communications/media & advertising world.
Jason’s ingenuity and entrepreneurship has placed him as one of the leading branded entertainment producers in Australia. Jason’s award winning campaigns have been recognized by the Cannes and London International Awards. Jason is the leading producer for all Qantas’ branded and safety video material. His clients include Bonds, IGA, Cancer Council, RACV, Victorian Government, Australia Post & Ford.
His early years at the iconic Advertising Production House, ‘The Film Business’, and others like Great Southern, Yarra, Revolver and Film Graphics began the journey. Jason spent years freelancing as a Line Producer in foreign and domestic facilitation for elite Directors like Rey Carlson, Steve Rogers, Paul Middleditch, Clayton Jacobson and Tony Rogers. Another eight years Jason spent as a Senior Agency Producer at Clemenger BBDO Melbourne, four years freelancing with M&C Saatchi, Marmalade Communications, Leo Burnetts and JWT established him as a leader in Advertising Production.
Jason’s online content credits include ‘How to Talk Australians’ (dir. Tony Rogers, 2014) garnered over 6 million You Tube views, comedy web series ‘Little Acorns’ (funded with the assistance of Screen Australia, 2016), and most recently period black comedy web series ‘Bruce’ (dir. Tony Rogers, 2016) starring Angus Sampson and Richard Davies.
Since then he has established the leading Film Production Company ‘Guilty’ and Corporate Content Specialist’ +ape’ recently delivering Iconic Campaigns for Qantas, NAB, Ford, Lion, I Select, RACV, TAC, Woolworths and the memorable Bonds ‘balls’ campaign.
His feature and short film credits have been nominated and awarded at the AFI, IF & SPAA awards. Feature credits include ‘One Perfect Day’ (dir. Paul Currie, 2003), Little Deaths (2004), Rats & ‘Cats. (Tony Rogers 2005) and Sucker’ (star. Ben Chessell, 2015). Other known credits include 50 min. tele feature ‘The Heartbreak Tour’ (dir. Ben Chessell, 2005), ABC Documentary ‘Beyond The Backyard’, feature length ABC documentary ‘Shadow Play’ (dir. Josh Whiteman, 2009), ‘A Brilliant Genocide’ 9dir, Ebony Butler) & TV doco-drama Ch10 ‘Tom Wills’ (dir. Maurice Dowd, 2016).
Jason is the producer of feature film ‘Sibling Rivalry’ Directed by Clayton Jacobson, starring Shane Jacobson, Sarah Snook, Lynette Curran and Kym Gyngell, that recently completed production in June 2017. The film received funding by Film Victoria and Screen Australia and will be released in August 2018.
