Mark Gooder has over 25 years of experience in the independent film sector including significant roles in film distribution, exhibition and film sales. His roles as CEO of Icon and President of Acquisitions at The Weinstein Company saw him responsible for the acquisition of some of the most successful independent films of all time including Gosford Park, The Queen, The Iron Lady, Slumdog Millionaire, 12 Years A Slave and Paranormal Activity. In 2015 he partnered with international film sales veteran Alison Thompson to form Cornerstone Films based out of London and L.A. Mark has been based in LA for over 10 years.

As far as material goes I am interested in horror/thriller genre ideas and drama and romantic/comedy. Not interested in ‘family’ unless it hits a spot like RED DOG. Less likely to be interested in animation unless it’s very distinctive. Docs ok but, again, need to be distinctive.
