Yingna Lu is a film, branded content, music video and multiplatform producer.

She began her career accidentally working as a PA on a reality dating show while she was a communications student at UTS. She decided that after weeks of feeding actors scripted material, she may as well get into the business of producing quality scripts. The next few years took her diving through the media industry where she developed a portfolio in film, digital content and advertising.

In 2013/2014, Yingna’s 12 x 3min comedy series ‘Lessons From The Grave’, had its two seasons commissioned by Screen NSW and broadcast on ABC2 then ABC1. The same team followed up in 2015 to produce, ‘Let’s Talk About’ a 10 x 3min show, and became one of the first to be commissioned by Presto TV. In early 2016, the show was re-commissioned for a second season by Presto, and was awarded Screen NSW development funding. The show begins production in 2016.

In 2015, her 9 x 3min comedy web series, ‘Wingman’ was named Outstanding Comedy at the LA Webfest, Huffington Post called it a ‘brilliant comedy web series’, and SBS Comedy called it ‘one of the best web series to come out of Australia this year’ and has reached over 450k views. It also screened at the 2016 St. Kilda Film Festival. Her comedy short ‘Farid in the West’ picked up screenings at the 2013 Palm Springs Shorts Festival, 2014 Flickerfest, and was awarded runner up Best Women’s Short at the 2013 Cleveland Film Festival.

She has Vimeo Staff picked music video clips for international artists RUFUS (‘Tonight’), and SBCR aka the Bloody Beetroots (‘The Grid’). She also line produced a $100,000 Bollywood inspired short, ‘Departure Lounge’, which was voted ‘Best Comedy’ in the 2015 AACTAs Social Shorts.

In 2014, she joined Paper Moose – film and design production company where she has produced ads for clients including BONDS, Canon, Westpac, MLA, Starlight, City of Sydney, TAFE NSW, Studio 301 and several experiential projects including a 3-metre high ten cent coin sculpture for the City of Sydney, which was nominated for the B&T ’30 under 30′ awards in 2015, and awarded “Best Project for 2015” and “Best Signage and Display” in Desktop Magazine’s Create Awards.

Outside of producing, she enjoys dress up parties, smashing soccer balls, and recently, marathon bike events.
