Mike Jones is a writer and script developer working across TV, online, and interactive forms. He is currently story producer on ABC youth-drama series ‘Deadlock’ for EveryCloud productions, and served as script producer for the ABC’s ‘Long Story Short’ slate comic-drama series including ‘F*cking Adelaide’, ‘Other People’s Problems’, ‘Wrong Kind of Black’, and ‘Edge of the Bush’. Mike is also a regular collaborator with boutique TV production company, SweetPotatoFilms, whose recent success was the multi award-winning mystery drama series, ‘The Kettering Incident’. He has developed projects with companies including WarnerBros and Princess Pictures, as well as serving as story consultant to ABC Signature studios in the US, and leading long-form script labs for YouTube. He was co-creator of the virtual-reality detective-thriller ‘VRNoir: A Day Before the Night’ with StartVR, and is co-writer of forthcoming speculative-fiction VR experience, ‘Awake’. As a novelist Mike is author of “The Transgressions Cycle”, a series of supernatural gothic novels published by Simon&Schuster. He was previously development consultant with Screen Australia and lectured in story and writing at the Australian Film TV & Radio School.
